I created the Postnatal Core Restore Method because I know how it is to love and depend on physical fitness as an outlet but suddenly feel out of sorts in a newly postpartum body because things don't feel quite the same and there's so much confusion about where to begin after childbirth.
I also know what it's like to be afraid to pick up my son repeatedly or perform, what used to be, simple everyday tasks because I didn’t feel strong enough for a while after childbirth or realize I might be left with aches and pains if I pushed through. My setbacks were cutting into my quality of life and limiting what I could do with my son!
As a health and fitness professional and Doctor of Physical Therapy, I have over a decade of experience helping people navigate recovery and returning to life and recreation at full function. But, over the years, my attention was particularly drawn to the necessity for there to be more knowledgeable professionals who understood the unique needs of women within the postpartum population, in order to help them traverse the gap between recovery and fitness (and all things motherhood) safely and effectively.
My own postpartum experience taught me this firsthand. So, I dug deeper, increased my knowledge, and first applied it to my own recovery. Now I can say that, not only did I heal my core and feel as strong, if not stronger than I did before my pregnancy, but I also have returned to doing all the workouts and activities I love, including running around with my son, added new hobbies, (like Power Lifting), and most importantly, pain is no longer holding me back!
That's when I knew I had to put together a program to help more moms looking for a solution just like I was.

Taking the time to work through my own recovery, I made the greatest progress in healing my diastasis recti abdominis between 18 -24 months postpartum. By 30 months out, I was back to feeling confident in doing all the exercises I wanted to do without fear of over-stressing my abdominal wall or exacerbating the gapping. I also made significant gains in muscle definition.

Programs require an exercise mat, dumbbells, large and/or loop resistance bands, and a small ball (like a 6” diameter yoga ball –a child’s ball with also suffice). At times we also incorporate things you may have around the house like a chair, a sturdy step stool or steps, a wall, etc.
If you have other equipment you like to use like gliders, kettlebells, TRX, BOSU, there may also be an opportunity for you to incorporate some of your favorite things. If your equipment or space is limited modifications are available as needed.
Because space is limited in a 1-to-1 program like this, doors close when spaces are filled. The program reopens about 4 times a year but the number of open seats available isn’t guaranteed if current clients resign, so if you want to get started, jump in while you can!

Yes. Our app is available on iOS and Android. This is where you will find all your workouts, be able to connect with others, message your trainer and view our library of exercise videos.
